OP posts:
stainesmassif · 06/07/2009 11:42

I would just like to out myself as a Shefflin fan. 'banging this skanger' and 'at pace' now part of my own vocabulary. bring it, sheff.

SarahL2 · 06/07/2009 11:43

I always assumed this was a teenage boy out to offend... Didn't know it'd written an article!

stainesmassif · 06/07/2009 11:43

you de man, undoubtedly. loving the use of 'fug' also.

Shefflin · 06/07/2009 11:45

Note: Please bear in mind that this topic encourages posters to give their opinions - i.e. they might disagree with you. That said, in line with our Talk policy elsewhere, we don't allow personal attacks no matter how unreasonable you think someone is.

It'd written an article? It?!? Do I look like Margaret fugging Thatcher pal?

OP posts:
SarahL2 · 06/07/2009 11:47

That'll be why the posts with you asking someone if they'd had a stroke were deleted then!

Shefflin · 06/07/2009 11:51

That was fast.

OP posts:
stainesmassif · 06/07/2009 11:52

missed that. am disappointed in you, s.

Frasersmum123 · 06/07/2009 11:54

deleted before I could even report it!

SarahL2 · 06/07/2009 11:58

I reported it

daftpunk · 06/07/2009 12:03

Reality....perhaps you could explain why you thought the op was amusing rather than offensive?

Shefflin · 06/07/2009 12:11

Er, if you'd care to look at the context, it was a reference to the "smiley" faces that were posted to me. Pray tell, how could that be deemed offensive to an anonymous poster?

Didn't think so.

what daftpunk said

Frasersmum123 · 06/07/2009 12:18

Maybe because Strokes are not funny????

SarahL2 · 06/07/2009 12:19

MumsnetHQ obviously couldn't see the reference to the smiley faces (just as others couldn't) else they wouldn't have deleted it. They don't do things just cause I tell them to!

daftpunk · 06/07/2009 12:20

thing is shefflin...lot's of things can be deemed offensive to anonymous posters...some of those posters take great delight in telling other posters how "offensive" they are...and then find comments about stroke victims amusing??...all very strange.

It's a smiley face. Look - he's not really sad is he? No.

OP posts:
daftpunk · 06/07/2009 12:24

maybe he isn't...but you are.

SoupDragon · 06/07/2009 12:30

Whether it was a reference to the icon or not, it was still offensive.
