do it for yourself

do it so you can get in smaller jeans, or run up a hill, or chase your kids around, or whatever

the first week's the hardest

then you start to see the results and it gets easier

i was doing food focus but i lapsed - god i sound like a right crazed dieter. i have tried everything but with all these methods the underlying will power is required.

Erm I am the old nutty yes but you have the babe bit wrong lol.

See with me the getting fatter was so I could then think, that thats why I am still single. Tis a load of bull, but is better than thinking it is because no one likes me.

Trouble is, now I can't seem to stop it.

chevre · 30/06/2009 13:45

dear oh dear nutella, tis simply not true. i am guessing we need to ditch the self pity before it drags us further down.

Sounds like you know what to do, chevre. Cut the cake and with all that running you will be super-slim in no time. Good luck!

chevre · 30/06/2009 13:45

None of them work chevre if they did there wouldn't be so many.

I can't say it enough, exercise, exercise, exercise. 3 times a week moderate exercise is not enough IMO. The upside to lots of exercise is that you feel immediately better, you are healthier (not just smaller) and you really start to enjoy food cause your body lets you know what you need.

NervousNutty · 30/06/2009 13:48

Oh I do yeah, self pity city I live in lol.

It is the bread thing I am struggling with most, I crave it.

Must try harder though.

NervousNutty · 30/06/2009 13:49

Would doing 30 min a day on wii fit be enough or not ?? I also have personal trainer for the wii, but not tried it yet.

chevre · 30/06/2009 13:49

morloth i can't run anymore than i do, i would be knackered.

chevre · 30/06/2009 13:50

i really can't imagine the wii fit doing anything. go out walking.

Morloth · 30/06/2009 13:52

It would be better than nothing Nutty and if you don't do a lot normally than it would be a big improvement, but too really get it off I don't think it would be enough.

Any exercise is better than no exercise.

Morloth · 30/06/2009 13:54

What about weight training chevre cardio alone isn't much good.

You can do it at home without any equipment, push-ups, sit-ups, planks, tricep dips, using cans of veg for bicep curls, if you have a strong door lintel you can use it for body lifts, lunges, squats, pilates everything helps.

chevre · 30/06/2009 13:55

i will start doing pilates.

chevre - how about you come over to this thread?

We all help each other and have a good laugh at the same time which keeps us motivated. Some of us are trying to lose weight whilst others are just eating more healthily.

It would be nice to see you...

NervousNutty · 30/06/2009 14:00

I did recently look up a route in a local country park for me to walk, but that was as far as I got.

Will look it up and print it off again and see if I can actually make it there this time.
