nothing in particular, and no one in particular, but I just feel that whatever we do nowadays seem to induce a judgefest, and it gets irritating!!

I am trying to be confident enough in my skin/mind/parenting skills to start thinking that I don;t give a flying fuck what others think of me, and then, some stupid tiny comment (be it here, in the papers, on the radio etc) and I start feeling all inadequate and unsure of myself again.

noooooo.....that would be judge-worthy

I mean like they dressed themselves in the dark!!

DH used to do it to wind me up tho when they were tiny.............I used to have them dress all colour co-ordinated (with themselves, not each other)......DH would dress them in bright red socks tho when they were wearing pale pink or orange socks when in purple.

he knew it would make me jitter all day (says bad things about my needs to control doesn;t it

flame loves it......she too will wind me up and make me twitch with clashing colours on her babies when we are going out somewhere together

Oh children's ideas of a nice outfit are brilliant! When else in life do you get to wear every colour and pattern at the same time?

I'm way more judgemental and critical when I'm feeling insecure than I am when I'm feeling happy. Pass the wine.

TrillianAstrahasaJOB · 29/06/2009 18:16

Wine? Already?

TrinityRhino · 29/06/2009 22:05

oh I am sooooo gonna make you twitch when
you come to stay psycho

I'll tell dd2(4) she can dress herself every day

she loves to put on all sorts of weird unmatching things

and we all wear odd socks

TrillianAstrahasaJOB · 29/06/2009 22:10

Can Gecko choose her clothes too? Or would she choose 7 socks and no knickers?

TrinityRhino · 29/06/2009 22:18

lol actually she is quite good at choosing her clothes but recently her choice of clothes has been......none

will that make you twitchy too?

I can persuade into odd socks and her sisters knickers to maximise twitching

TrillianAstrahasaJOB · 30/06/2009 09:13

Well that'll definitely help with the pile of washing if the choice of clothes is none!

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 13:44

no clothing is ok.....DS2 still loves to go nekked (in the house only now tho).

you sayin about the odd socks tho trinity, my older two wear odd socks all the time, mainly due to laziness as they can't be arsed to help me pair their socks, but I am pondering now if it is also in subconcious (or maybe totally consciously) rebellion of my twitching when they were teeny.
