fattybumbum · 27/06/2009 21:20

Hi Booyhoo! I miss all the Northern Irish sayings now I live in England. We have so many excellent and bizarre colloquialisms.

Biccy · 27/06/2009 21:24

Well why didn't you say you'd just had a baby.... you need those calories, get stuck in!

booyhoo · 27/06/2009 21:39

just on that note... is it too early for periods yet or could that be possible?

OP posts:
burningupinspeed · 27/06/2009 21:44

It could be I suppose, less likely if breastfeeding but there are always exceptions, you'd be unlucky either way this quickly I think... but still could be. Hope it's not for your sake.

My appetite vanished for the first two weeks after having my DS. Then it came back with a vengence. I would have eaten that much quite happily.

booyhoo · 27/06/2009 21:48

i am bfing so probably unlikely. my apetite has been pretty much non existent since ds was born upp until the past few days. need to start doing big dinners again now the energy is slowly coming back.

This is an AIBU by stealth you know!!

It'll do you good to eat to appetite, when and what you fancy. I ate round upon round of jam on toast when BFing in the early days. And crap like Jaffa Cakes (not that jam on toast is health food by comparison...)

Congrats on your baby, just enjoy it I never got back into cooking to be honest, thank god DP learned

BottySpottom · 27/06/2009 22:04

You had a baby four weeks ago & no supper? Good God woman, I would have eaten the family guinea pigs by now. Breastfeeding always makes (or made - had last baby now ) me ravenous. Listen to your body and eat what you like.

booyhoo · 27/06/2009 22:05

i just wasnt hungry at dinner time and nor was ds as he had the big lunch too and then snacks at his friend's house so it would have gone in the bin. it wasnt a selfdenial, we just wernt ready for anything. btw, ds did not see me polish off that lot. he was at friend's AGAIN.

YABVU for using that vile ICBINB. You should be using real butter.

booyhoo · 27/06/2009 22:07

but thunder it tastes so good.

Thunderduck · 27/06/2009 22:11

Your tastebuds have obviously been damaged in some way. I suggest you see your gp.

booyhoo · 27/06/2009 22:16

lol

YUK. No idea what ICBINB is but sounds synthetic. All sounds really sickly.
