To not want my paedophile ex-husband to see our daughter?

I have just looked at my facebook and found a message from my ex-husband asking to see our daughter. The last time he saw her was in 2003 just before he served 9 months of an 18 month sentence. I have moved away but he asked if he came here could he see her giving the name of the town I live just outside of. The only way he could know where I live is from my parents who I don't speak to anymore.
Moved here to get away from the past, and feel safe again. Now thats all gone.

I always said if we ever split up I would not stop him seeing her and he didn't hurt her, so I a part of me wonders if I am being unfair in stopping him seeing her. Although he hasn't made any effort to see her for the past 6 years

I think you are reasonable to have moved away and to have started again. I don't think you should feel obliged to let him see your daughter.

Block him on FB. Who cares if he knows you've seen his message? Block him anyway.

Can you be certain that he wouldn't find his own daughter sexually attractive though?

Don't risk it. He's forfeited the right to be Pa Walton.

I can't be sure of anything all I know is he would have to supervised so there was no risk to her.

TBH if you allowed unsupervised contact to a convicted child-porn posessor, your parenting could be called into question. You do not have to allow him contact just because he wants it.
Ignore his message but contact Women's Aid for advice and perhaps consider taking out an injunction against him anyway. He has forfeited the right to get his own way WRT seeing his daughter as he will be seen by anyone and everyone as posing a risk to her.

are you for real?why the hell do you want your child to see its porn downloading daddy.get a grip of yourself

those imprisoned for between six and 30 months remain on the register for 10 years, and subject to certain conditions with a probation officer .he must tell police his whereabouts, register an station, and maintain any other conditions

he went to prison for downloading child porn, not stealing bread to feed the destitute family.

sorry something here not quite right about your post

I can't believe he thinks Women's Aid will be sympathetic to him!
