When I worked as a model in Japan I was given a job which was to give out sweets for a sweet manufacturer to children in a supermarket (yes a lowly model job, I wasn't that gorgeous)
Well, my friend and I dished out the sweets but it soon became obvious some children were greedy little tykes and would grab a handful whereas others would only take one and proffer a big thank you.
After a few hours of this we took matters into our own hands and decided we'd give a handful of sweets to the behaved, polite children but only give one to the rude ones.
Well there was a particularly horrid boy who encouraged by his horrid parents, grabbed a handful and then circled with the intention of coming back for more.
We were having none of that and hid the sweet basket whenever he approached.
They tried several times before giving up. It must have been humiliating.
Were we being unreasonable?
