Was in M&S today and saw it was 3 for 2 on school uniform so picked up some shirts, polo shirts, socks, pinafore and skirt for my 4dc.
My SIL thinks I am sad and that the last two weeks in August will be ok to buy uniform.

I will be buying early - but only so I can give it to my mum when I see her to sew labels into and I can collect at the end of the holidays . Mind you, most of the uniform is logo'd and an odd colour (depsite being a state school) so have to go to uniform shop unforetunately.

I am with FAQ, leaving it all to the last possible moment - they do seem to grow at an inordinate rate over the summer......especially feet!

I've got my mum to buy shirts in Asda that ds will not wear until next Feb - so no you are perfectly reasonable. If you leave it then they run out of sizes.

With shoes I usually get the DCs to wear their old shoes for the first week back and then buy new one day after school when the shoe dept is much, much quieter.

Yay. All done today. School uniform supplier were at school today so I got all the logo'd stuff, then I ordered the rest from M&S on 3 for 2. Only need shoes now.
