Now i am certainly no pedant, but i just got this message from some guy on a dating site i use:

"hi fancy a chAT HON

JOHN XXX"

is he lazy or just stupid?

I am not going to reply.

OP posts:

Someone who had never met me yet called me "hon" would not be my type I'm afraid. Simple as that.

wotulookinat · 11/06/2009 19:30

It would put me off completely too.

fucksticks · 11/06/2009 19:31

he sounds about 14

and on a side note WHY do people write (sp?) after a word? If you know its spelt wrong then look it up, not write it anyway and then advertise your lazy arse'd ness to everyone as well!

LovelyTinOfSpam · 11/06/2009 19:35

It is a very lazy message isn't it.

Unless just up for a quick and probably rather crap shag, avoid is deffo my advice.

curlygal · 11/06/2009 19:46

YANBU at all.

I would not dignify that effort with a response.

How long does it take to type a proper message?

wolfnipplechips · 11/06/2009 19:49

Trillian you got me with a thread title once and it still makes me so i shall not remind you of it.

When i write (sp?) i do want to be corrected though.

OP how old is this bloke, over 20 and i'm not sure there is any excuse for HON, although maybe all the women he has been meeting on the dating site speak like to him like this so he just trying to be down with it?? There i go again making excuses for him.

wolfnipplechips · 11/06/2009 19:52

oh and the reason i write (sp?) is usually because i have probably just made the word up, therefore can't find it when i search and because sometimes i
amacompletelazyarse a have better things to do.

LOL at look up spelling errors.

In a fast moving thread you would miss all the action!
