I'm watching JK now and there's this bloke who has been beating his pregnant girlfriend and is laughing about it on stage!

Really, I don't condone violence but think that perhaps JK could do with a room backstage for giving some of these men some of their wn medicine!

I just meant simple minded VinegarTits, which he obviously was.

I genuinely didn't know that some of the people on there have mental health issues, if thats the case then the show is out of order for using them obviously. That wouldn't be allowed surely??? [naive emoticon]

AuntieMaggie · 10/06/2009 15:13

so those of you that don't like the show and are slating it - have you actually watched it?

sazzlelou · 10/06/2009 15:14

I'm watching it on ITV2+1 so i've got that man to come.
I'm watching the lass who lets her husband want to sleep with her brothers girlfriend, strange!

Well bugger me KingRolo, I've only skimmed through that and it is a bit of an eye opener....

Christ am I the only gullible one here who thought it was all genuine???

(I'll still watch it though, don't know why......)

VinegarTits · 10/06/2009 15:20

Yes i have watched it, when i was young and naive

monkeyfacegrace · 10/06/2009 15:20

Im watching it now, while replying to a thread about letting agents and ironing too, mulittasking or what!!
JK is abs gorgeous, I wouldn't kick him outta bed
I watch it for a giggle and to remind myself my life isn't that bad. Who cares if its hyped/rubbish/exploited? Thats what TV's about!
And if it helps just a few ppl then all the better x
(ahh just sky+ paused on his face ahhh)

AuntieMaggie · 10/06/2009 15:20

Written based on 3 shows she worked on....

OP posts:
KingRolo · 10/06/2009 15:21

It's disturbing isn't it?

For those who haven't read the link, the former producer ends with:

"I am ashamed to have worked on that show, and I am ashamed that it is still broadcast. Don't watch it, ever. Not even if you're off work sick. The story you see being played out on the television screen comes at a price."

noddyholder · 10/06/2009 15:22

I am that any intelligent person can't see through this drivel.

AuntieMaggie · 10/06/2009 15:22

Written by someone who worked on 3 shows back in 2005 - if she felt that strongly about it why didn't she write about it straight away?

Also, she also says that there is professional help for those that want it.

wigparty · 10/06/2009 15:23

Never watched it, but know of his reputation! Couldn't watch his show, it would depress me too much...

Heard him interviewed on Radio 5 and apparently he licks his phone every time he's finished using it?!?

noddyholder · 10/06/2009 15:25

Mn never used to stoop this low...How can you defend something so aggressive and exploitative? When is this country going to wake up to the fact that giving these people air time is playing right into their hands and promoting their awful anti social behaviour.i do not know one person who watches it or thinks its acceptable which is why i am shocked that mothers would even entertain it

wigparty · 10/06/2009 15:26

live and let live noddy...we live in a democratic society (apparently)!

AuntieMaggie · 10/06/2009 15:28

Exactly - you don't know one person who watches it.

So it's not acceptable to help people who have been abused or have problems?

OP posts:
noddyholder · 10/06/2009 15:28

I strongly dissapprove of shows like that though.I think they should be banned There are ways of dealing with the sort odf issues he claims to address without resorting to that.

AuntieMaggie · 10/06/2009 15:31

Resorting to what? If you don't watch it then how can you have an opinion?

IME the kind of things you are objecting against are the minority.

OP posts:
noddyholder · 10/06/2009 15:36

The language the calibre of guests the predictable outcome.I have seen teh show a few times when I have been home ill.My friend wrote a piece on it for a mag once. The majority of them drink the bar dry and love the attention. They shout and rant and some of them can barely string a sentence together. There is a time and a place for dealing with abuse and family issues and it is not on morning tv in a mini skirt and badly fitting t shirt with a pea brain of a host telling everyone to 'button it'.

lal123 · 10/06/2009 15:45

JK is a hypocritcial tw*t. I think that the people who watch this drivel are voyeurs, and find it strange that people are entertained by the misery of others.

wigparty · 10/06/2009 15:47

to be honest noddy you sound like a bit of a snob...

mayorquimby · 10/06/2009 15:52

from that story
"When I worked on Jeremy Kyle, aftercare was indeed given immediately after recording, but only if requested by the guest. Occasionally we would pay for a guest to have counselling at home. Kyle himself does not see them again"

so the people get aftercare upon request, but it's not kyle himself administering it? shockhorror, why the fuck would he be the one calling to their house, he's a presenter not a therapist.

noddyholder · 10/06/2009 15:53
Smile
wigparty · 10/06/2009 15:54

As I said, I couldn't hack watching it myself...but each to their own...have you seen half of the reality TV stuff that's on nowadays?

VinegarTits · 10/06/2009 16:01

I agree with Noddy, it is entertaining of the lowest form, car crash tv at its worse

I will watch any shite, BB, K&P even KK when i am bored, but JK is in a vile league of his own with his show
