To not be able to see the logic in putting changing facilities in disabled loos ...

that have (expletive deleted) RADAR locks on them so you can't get in!

Recently by me the public loos have been refurbished and given to a private company to manage. The disabled loo has a baby changing table but is still locked with a radar key.

But that's OK, because they finally put one in the ladies as well. Oh, except now they also put a turnstile gate so you can pay 40p for the privilege and no pram or pushchair will fit through. It's fine if you just want to change your baby, as you can take them out of the pram and leave it outside. Not so fun when you need the loo as well though and have to contend with a wriggly baby on your lap whilst you try and pee. And they're not even kept clean. Angry

So, people really do this? Reply to a thread having only read the title and not the other posts?

THE POST IS ABOUT A RADAR KEY NOT ABOUT CHANGING UNITS IN DISABLED LOOS.

There. Can I stop shouting now?

OP yes I totally agree, and I always challenge the shop/area when this is the case. There should always be a spare radar key. What if a disabled person had a fall in there, and was able to pull the emergency cord, but no one could get in as no radar key was available?

Tons of reasons...more space, unisex so both parents can change baby....

Rader key vvvvvv easy to get. Never had a problem... ask at reception or pub or if you want pay £1-2 to council or on internet and get one
