I think that the hall that the nursery is housed in is owned by The Labour Party, but they are purely a landlord - they don't use the hall so that's not an excuse.

When I went to drop my daughter this morning, there were "Vote Labour" posters all over the outside. Fair enough I thought, they are the landlord. But when I went in, there were posters all the way up the stairs and all over the noticeboards.....I don't think that's appropriate - but AIBU?!

No, it's not a polling station - it's a nursery housed in a building which I think, but am not 100% sure, is leased from the Labour Party.

I am fairly sure that it was the nursery staff who did it because the posters were inside the nursery, on the noticeboard and there was one above the book corner. I therefore think it was unacceptable and I'm being reasonable!

I know most teachers are Guardian reading Labour voting socialists but I don't necessarily want to have their views imposed on me when I drop my children at nursery......

Was it the party you objected to, or the sheer number of posters?

It was that there were political messages plastered over preschool - I don't think that it was an appropriate place for political campaigning.....

And yes, the party didn't help, but even if it had been the party I voted for, I would have found it unpalatable.

On the whole it wouldn't have bothered me if it were any of the main parties, but if they had been BNP posters (or another certain local dingbat that's running) I would have been annoyed, so on reflection, YANBU.
