To wonder how Fatface manage to get such lovely staff?

Every time(without fail)they are lovely, helpful and cheerful. Last Sat one young girl spent ages helping me cobble together a wedding outfit (I'm 40 so not easy).

Just rang to see if they had something in stock and another member of staff just tracked down an item said to be in stock but nowhere to be found(basically ransacked the stock room until she found it).

It's always full of younguns but they never look down their noses at us oldies.

Having spent the last 2 Sats scouring shops for said wedding outfit I have to say they are in a league of their own compared to most of the staff in other shops I came into contact with.

Just curious as to where on earth they get them from.

You got a wedding outfit in fatface?

I thought they sold beach type stuff?

pinkstarfish · 19/05/2009 11:40

Maybe they have amazing staff discount

bigchris · 19/05/2009 11:41

was thinking the same as kerrymaid
it's always casual stuff when I go in there

MilaMae · 19/05/2009 11:41

It's a laid back wedding-hence the dire need of help.

Ooh yes, I went in Fatface a few weeks ago and could have bought so much, they are not all hoody type things at all. They had some lovely skirts and dresses. Also my 2 favorite, best fitting jeans come from Fatface

Ripeberry · 19/05/2009 11:57

Maybe the OP should write to the head office and say how wonderfull the staff were in that branch.

TrillianAstra · 19/05/2009 12:00

I so thought this was going to be a sarcastic such lovely staff

wilbur · 19/05/2009 12:02

You should email head office as ripeberry says - my dh works in retail and it's great for them to get feedback on what they do right, as well as what they do wrong. Your frock sound lovely.

TrillianAstra · 19/05/2009 12:10

Oh, and if you'r wondering how, I imagine they pay them decently and treat them well. There may even be a bonus at the end of the year if the company does well (like John Lewis), which would definitely encourage good customeer service.

Unlike, for example, a certain large chain where I worked as a teenager that treated its staff like criminals. No staff discount for us, instead we had bag searches at the end of every shift. (so if you've ever wondered why Primark staff are grumpy...)

mychildrenarebarmy · 19/05/2009 12:57

They have some great things in there. And until about 2 months ago I always assumed they would be too small for me so never went in there. Not sure if it is a good thing I found out that I was wrong as it now means I would quite like to spend a small fortune that we don't have in there.

PenelopePitstops · 19/05/2009 13:00

I love their staff, everywhere you go they are wonderful!

I am know a regular in my local fat face which is quite embarrassing!

littlelamb · 19/05/2009 13:01

Me too penelope, they still know me as the woman who brought in ds when he was only hours old I had no clothes and was desperate

katz · 19/05/2009 13:03

both the shops we have here have lovely staff - although they do encourage me to spend loads of money.

Mila- i want that dress it lovely!

MilaMae · 19/05/2009 13:52

Will let them know I'm impressed, interesting they seem to be nice elsewhere too unless you're all shopping in the Exeter branch

My dd calls it the shop with the headphones and is terribly upset when they don't work (which seems to be all the time)

MilaMae · 19/05/2009 14:04

Yay!! was beginning to feel like a ghost town in there. Am going to do a little write up of MakeArt when I get chance. Have you been? My dd loves it and it means I don't have to clean up afterwards

MilaMae · 19/05/2009 14:38

No I haven't, have twin boys 5 too so assumed it might be a tad pricey but will look out for your write up-as you say no mess after

brimfull · 19/05/2009 14:54
