i was in this cafe the other day and it was all very pleasant, but having placed an order it took an absolute age to receive any food. This may have been because one of the chefs (a smallish red head) had to pop out to get one of the main ingredients. You'd think a going concern like this would stock most store cupboard essentials wouldn't you?

I read a review about BCLC once where the reviewer said it made him despair to see a programme about food where the person preparing the food clearly had no experience and actually seemed scared of it!

yes Gently! thought it was a bloody cheek actually. Then the dog went missing and we all had to search for it! what a kerfuffle!

I wouldn't mind the lack of choice so much though, as no-one actually pays for the food. All you have to do is write a thank you note and find their missing for them.

Who was it on MN who described the inevitable splashing of LC with the whipped cream etc. as the "come shot"?

Springfleurs - DH and I always love seeing the complete hash that BC always makes of everything, and then a cut away and suddenly the food looks perfect. There are a lot of BCLC elves in that studio.
