Dd's are seven and five and adorable.

Ds is nearly three and so cute and funny.

Life is great.

Don't want things to change ever...
but they will.

Two of my DCs are 'grown up' now. My eldest DS (20) still lets me hug him when he goes back to university (sob), other than that no touching in public (or in private) is allowed, was SUCH a sweet little boy when he was a toddler though.

It is sad when they grow up but they are still good fun and it's nice when they turn into a 'friend' rather than a dependent child. We do alot of looking at old photos thinking where did all that time go.

Am sobbing over the pc now.

When I see my ds (10) running ahead to scouts or somewhere, in my head I picture him when he was a toddler, learning to walk. The years have gone so fast, and I can't stand the thought of how fast the next 10 will go.

I'm going to keep mine in tupperwear. They will stay 3 & 5 forever.

gulp ... sniff ...

sockmonkey - I blamed 'hay fever' when DW came back in from delivering DSs to school but its OK because I know she gets a bit weepy over this issue as well.

sockmonkey · 13/05/2009 12:24

I don't know how I'll cope when DS2 starts school full time...he's so little. If I keep him at 3 he can stay home

MummyDragon · 13/05/2009 12:40

Well I must be the worst mother in the world then, as I don't feel like this at all! I love my children to bits but I don't want to stop time in its tracks. Most odd.

"Makes you wonder how people with grown up children get through the day" - er, no, it doesn't. They do other things! e.g. jobs, hobbies, seeing friends, looking after grandchildren etc etc.

I think you sound as though you want another baby

emkana · 13/05/2009 12:45

I do! I do!

Go on and do it then (if that's what your dp wants too, of course!)

poshsinglemum · 13/05/2009 14:19

The first thing I said when dd was born was ''I don't want her to grow up.''

I also kept wanting to bottle special moments up and never let them go.

Countingthegreyhairs · 13/05/2009 18:52

So do I!!!
