i have failed to buy bra's once again because the difference in the back sizes between a 34 and a 36 is huge. The 34 would barely do up on the largest setting but the 36 was loose on the tightest setting - how is that?

YANBU - but make it a metal or plastic one as the fabric tapes also stretch over time...

thedreadpirate - good point, although if they just made the 34's a smidge bigger that would be fine 'cause then they'd fit.

christina- i have been fitted but the problem is that the 34 doesn't fit round but then going up a size also doesn't fit round -tried several bras and same problem.

YANBU - Bra sizes vary so much from brand to brand it's insane.

I alway use Bravissimo as they fit them by eye rather than by measuring you. It means you might come away with bras in different sizes but at least they fit.

The bra back extenders christian suggested are great too.

When you try 36 do you try a cup size smaller? Sometimes that can make a lot of difference, if 34d is too small maybe try a 36c. Not sure if that makes sense myself now but hopefully you know what I mean.

katz · 11/05/2009 22:04

bra extenders may be the answer until the fabric gives a little and the 34 fit.

mychild - its not the cup part of the bra thats the problem its the loosness across my back, the 34 dug in and the 36 well my boobs could have headed south due to the gap!
