to have a 'no dead things on the table' rule? MN Jury needed

DH will be reading this.

He went for a ride this morning and managed to drive through every gnat cloud in South Wales.
His bike helmet, leathers and boots have dead insects all over them.
He put his helmet on the table and his leathers in the corner downstairs after 'brushing them off'

I think this is beyond grim and it is making me boak and threatened him with the full force of the MN jury to prove I am not being pathetic.

Dh replied 'Go on then'

So I have.
Be as honest as you like

lol - I did wonder about that a little bit!

Flying things don't bother me - especially dead ones! Now spiders on the other hand... yuck

Overmydeadbody · 10/05/2009 22:41

I too thought this was a veggi thread!

No lids or leathers on the dining table sounds reasonable to me - if it's not bugs it'd be mud.

KingCanuteIAm · 10/05/2009 23:08

I would be more bothered about the sweat. Warm weather and leathers/helmets so not add up to a shower fresh dh/p

Ex got hit in the face by a low flying seagull once.

Knocked him off his bike!

KingCanuteIAm · 10/05/2009 23:48

oh god ... i have this to come, dh just did his cbt, bike being mot'd this week

the squished ats my 3yo ds keeps presenting me with are bad enough... i do not want fly arse all over my lounge!!!

StripeyOss · 11/05/2009 04:25

thats ants... not ats..
think i may instigate a 'no lids or leathers on the table' rule...

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 11/05/2009 14:38

The dead insects are mostly quite dehydrated by the time they get home. Either that or they're stuck quite firmly to lid/leathers - until they dehydrate a bit more and fall off...

We were looking at dead insects under the microscope on the table a couple of weeks ago, so lots of greenfly both dead and alive floating around. No food on the table though so I didn't see a problem. A helmet on the table wouldn't bother me if there's no food on the table and it's been brushed down.
