to think that despite everything bad said about MN, it truly is the best place in cyberspace (or the RL world!)

I mean, we've seen members children and partners pass away, we see so many mnetters going through domestic abuse etc. We go through so much together. More than real-life friends/acquaintances would. This is why I love Mumsnet!

Christ, are you for real?
"it truly is the best place in cyberspace (or the RL world!)"
It is certainly amusing at times, why, no need watch Little Britain, one can follow Vicky Pollard (et al) and her highbrow musings online.
Hmm, who will start the screeching feast.....?

AramintaCane · 15/05/2009 12:27

sorry Rollmops what are you on about ?

diedandgonetodevon · 15/05/2009 12:29

bows to MN. Everything I know about bumsex I have learnt from you.

nickytwotimes · 15/05/2009 12:31

I bloody love MN.
It is full of witty, intelligent women and men.
It is a fantastic source of advice and is hilarious too.

What's not to love?

allthetwinklystars · 15/05/2009 12:33

I like that there is a place wher PMSL actually means exactly that... The cruelty in making women and their lax (the nurse's words at my last smear) pelvic floors laugh...

daftpunk · 15/05/2009 12:36

rollmops...it's a bit early in the day to be pissed...what are you on about?

Tulisa · 15/05/2009 12:36

there is no other website that comes close to mumsnet, there really is nothing else like it, thank goodness for mumsnet i say!

i've not had the internet at home for very long (about a year now) but i would have made sure i got it ages ago if i had known about mumsnet!

Tulisa · 15/05/2009 12:40

and i love the fact that it is not just a parenting website, you could literally ask a question about any topic under the sun on here and someone would chat to you about it.

AramintaCane · 15/05/2009 12:41

rollmops had a bad night last night and needs to calm down

BottySpottom · 15/05/2009 12:45

I rarely laugh like I do on Mumsnet. DH loathes it as it is so addictive I asked him to block it on my PC and now I am always on his. Just last night I spluttered and snorted huge quantities of thick, green, vegetable soup at one particularly funny thread and heard him ranting 'that's not fecking funny, that's my keyboard'!

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 12:53

mn has made me a better midwife. So thats all the women I look after from here on in [another 30 years - sheesh] getting better care.

So there. End argument.

I'd also be a better mum if I got off here and put some of the great knowledge into action

nannyogg · 15/05/2009 13:01

yep, Mumsnet does indeed rock.

Taught me a lot, made me laugh, made me cry on several occasions, corrected my grammar, made me think, changed my opinions, got me sooo fecking angry, made me feel all warm at the generosity, understanding and open minded-ness of people, made me at the general blinkeredness of others. It's not real life, no, but that's a good thing. Where else would you get all that in real life, in one place? Cyberspace is just a medium that allows us to connect with others and Mumsnet is an accessible, open, friendly (for the most part), supportive, intelligent, witty, canny, sound little corner.

AramintaCane · 15/05/2009 13:05

I love the way i keep spotting people with the same taste in books as me nannyogg
