Long story short, I fell into my job after Uni it was only ever to be a 6 month role whilst I decided what to do so never my vocation or calling but it turned out I was quite good at it - sales and it paid well so 10 years later and three children later all was still going well.
That is until we moved up north, not just up north but completely the wrong part of the north west it would seem because twice I've got to 2nd stage of the recruitment process only to be told great candidate but she lives a bit far away (an hour down the motorway).
Is this a complete crock or am I jepodising my whole potential career by living in a nice place not a bustling city ?
I've done contract work where I've dragged my ass out of bed at 6am to travel 2 hours to make sure I'm not late (with a three month old BF baby at the time too) so it's not like I have an issue with the travel.
There must be more to it surely ?
