Yes, very short notice. But I guess there ould be all manner of reasons for it.

If she can go, thats good. Otehrs may not be able to as such short notice.

Perhaps you were on the 'b-list'

mylifemykids · 06/05/2009 10:49

LOL I invited a girl to DS's party 2 days before the party because someone else had cancelled. She was on his original list but we had too many so she didn't make the 'cut'. Her mum didn't mind though, I'd paid for the space so was damn well going to fill it!

Probably like me they were trying to avoid having a party but then felt guilty about it and decided they should.

DD forgot to hand out invites once, so we were scrabbling around on the last day of school (her birthday's in August) trying to get them delivered.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2009 13:04

guess you will never know - maybe you were on a b list with many others, maybe the mum isnt as anal organised as some me and invite well over a month in advance

does it matter either way?

you are free, so go and have fun

Tinker · 06/05/2009 13:10

It is but she's probably just completely disorganised

LynetteScavo · 06/05/2009 13:16

It is short notice - but so what?

DS1 went to a great bitrthday party with less than 24 hours notice - the prize inside pass the parcel was a £2 coin - he was over the moon when he won it.

I really don't see the point in handing out childrens birthday ivitations a month in advace.

Sassybeast · 06/05/2009 13:31

Yep - it is short notive but you can go so it's fine is it not ? First rule of kids and parties - keep a stash of BOGOF Tesco toys in the cupboard.
