Greedy or is my sister right?

I bought myself a foot long granary french bread thing from Asda yesterday ... freshly baked ... lovely!

Anyway I commented to my sister that it would last me for 3 meals ... she raised an eyebrow and said she would eat the entire thing in one sitting. She then suggested that I'm starving myself to lose weight!

I'm not, I just think its greedy to eat a foot long bread stick! I've just used 1/3 of it to make a salmon and salad sandwich and it was just right ... anymore and I would have felt bloated.

AIBU to think its greedy to eat an entire stick in one go?

Oh I am soo tempted to go to subway now you horrible lot. I have not had a meatball sub for ages - but I hate subway

beanieb · 30/04/2009 12:58

I don't think it's greedy. It all depends on your appetite. I couldn't manage it but I know people who could.

Tortington · 30/04/2009 12:58

i know all things and troubles are relative - but really - how much of a shit should a person give about this exactly?

usually something that seems to be to be petty - i click off and move on...but seriously....

YABU YABU YABU!

Obsessive or what? And how nasty to call your sister greedy?

SarahL2 · 30/04/2009 13:02

MillyR are you talking about the special low fat subs at Subway?

Because there is no way in hell that even a 6 inch Steak and Cheese (my favourite and yes, I can if pushed eat a whole footlong ) could be below anyone's calorie limit!

If it is, I need the details of that diet - immediately

mumblechum · 30/04/2009 13:03

I'm with Custy.

Sarah

I have the veggie patty, which is 414 calories, but the veggie delite is 203. It is very difficult not to buy the cookies while I'm in there though.

TrillianAstra · 30/04/2009 13:39

Mmm, toffee poppet things! You have good breakfast shiney!

bamboostalks · 30/04/2009 13:41

Isn't it stale after the first day though?

ruddynorah · 30/04/2009 13:44

it needs eating asap or you lose the gorgeous freshness. so your sister is right to woof down in one.

benfmsmum · 30/04/2009 13:46

I wouldn't eat any of it at all - mind you that's cos I'm intollerant to wheat!!!

They smell so good freshly baked though.......

duchesse · 30/04/2009 13:47

I do think it funny to read the number of wicked/greedy/slatternly sister threads on here recently!

fwiw, I'm partway between you two- half a foot would be fine, a whole one too much, a third just not enough.

OrmIrian · 30/04/2009 13:48

Yes duchesse. I don't have a sister. Shall I start a thread about sisters that simply don't care, she never gets in touch, she never sends cards, she never rings ...

Confuzzeled · 30/04/2009 14:10

Perhaps your my sister and the issue is not about the breadstick but the fact your too frigging skinny.

LadyAga · 30/04/2009 14:19
