Hi!

I have been offered today to go on an all expences paid trip to Spain, but the problem is it is on Monday!

I have three children; 2, 5 and 6...and its ds's 3 birthday on Monday.

Someone cannot go last minute and i have been given the chance.

If i go it would mean dp would have to take a week off work to look after the children. I am so tempeted but worried about missing everyone, leaving them in the lurch etc....

What would you do?

Thanks

If it was not your dc's birthday I would go, but as it is I would not go. I would feel terrible to leave my dd on her birthday.

But I do not think your 3year old will really notice too much, I would just feel terrible about it. But then I dont have much of a life as I stay home with my dd all the time...

I wouldn't miss my child's birthday for the world either and would not be in another country from them while they are little, would hate it.

You're definitely right to go if you haven't had a holiday for 8 years!! Have a great time and make sure you bring back some straw donkeys for your dcs.

btw you may be pleased to hear that the other day my grandparents in law said to a 3yo cousin of mine (when she kept saying she was 3), 3 what? She didn't know she was 3 years old and didn't really understand the concept of birthdays - only that people kept telling her she was going to be '3'. So your dc will definitely not be scarred for life!!
