The person collecting seemed to think I was...

she said "Do you not know anyone who has had cancer?"

I have a sign at my door now saying "No sales or charity callers please" because i got fed up of people coming to my door and asking if my mum and dad are in! I am in my mid-twenties and look young for my age. It's not that they asked the question, it's an easy mistake to make when someone looks young, it was the reactions and comments after when i would tell them i am the mum.One guy asked me how old i was, like i was 14 trying to buy cider from the shop and when i said how old i was (i kick myself now for telling him) he replied "oh, you look really young" This kind of thing is fine when your 40 and don't mind being told how young you look, but when they are implying you look like a teenager and treat you like a teenager, it's not so much fun!

We had charity bods knocking at the door yesterday. I answered, they said thank you for answering the door (wtf else was I gonna do?) and I spotted the badges. I said, no thanks we're not interested (cos basically we're broke, not able to take on anything new). I'm also not able to take any more charities on board. I support the local cancer charity by dd and that's all I've got the time/money for.

They pulled 'how dare you faces' and started to say 'how do you know' but by then I'd shut the door. The blardy nerve of these people. If I say I'm not interested walk away....I ain't gonna change my mind.

I was right in the middle of Mario Kart too
