PMSL PSML still PMSL.... I gather this is for her PFB

Shall we take bets on how soon she'll regret it???

nametaken · 25/04/2009 21:14

YABU

her buggy, her baby, her money, her choice

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 25/04/2009 21:14

Haaaaaa. So much to learn, so much to learn.

onepieceofcremeegg · 25/04/2009 21:15

YABU. Let her get on with it.

However, I do understand. My own sil has bought some quite unwise, extravagant items (imo). She probably thinks I am a right scruff though.

HecatesTwopenceworth · 25/04/2009 21:15

Oh yes. Biiiiiiiiig mistake.

Still, it will give her something to laugh about in years to come

cupofteaplease · 25/04/2009 21:16

Do you have a link to see what it looks like, please?

poppy34 · 25/04/2009 21:17

well whilts nametaken is right - I do think that when she gets to the bribing with chocolate/ice lolly stage , she will rue the day or get very expert in all manner of stain relief

shhhh · 25/04/2009 21:18

I agree with nametaken..

I would buy cream now if I saw one I liked..and I have x2 dk's..
Most prams nowadays can have the fabrics washed etc.

I have seen loads of women recently with the cream loola..looks lovely.

Also, the way that most women are these days with prams...we never have them for longer than 10 mins

MrsMattie · 25/04/2009 21:21

My DS's godmother bought my him loads of lovely, dinky little Ralph Lauren outfits when he was born (my PFB; she hasn't got kids). All those divine pieces of white knitwear that cost about £50 a pop.

To think, I was chuffed to bits.

nametaken · 25/04/2009 21:21

Anyway, no matter what colour buggy you buy, it always looks awful very quickly.

onepieceofcremeegg · 25/04/2009 21:24

My sil laughed and scorned the name we had chosen for our ds (we had two dds so didn't ever use the name).

She had a ds of her own last week, which was fab. However we laughed that she used our "horrible" name for her own beautiful ds.

Obviously she realised we had good taste after all.

Gentle · 25/04/2009 21:26

Hmm, not so sure...

I had a dark buggy which highlighted posset, milk sick, half-chewed biccies...

poppy34 · 25/04/2009 21:29

very true - milk sick in particular can really do favours for any kind of fabric.

but my fave pfb thing was the well off friend (bless her for being so nice) who bought me a dry clean only dress for dd...

toddlerama · 25/04/2009 21:37

Milk sick wont show. It'll be great for a while...

Gentle · 25/04/2009 21:45

... I think "only for a while" is the key thing there.

It'll be more of a problem when the baby reaches the Fruit Shoots and Quavers stage.

CherryChoc · 25/04/2009 23:34

My buggy is cream. Sort of. It's the Loola Up which has a reversible (and washable) seat cover - the cream side is sort of wipe clean, actually. DS only 6 months though so hasn't eaten in there much yet.

Am considering buying a second set of covers from ebay though so I can rotate them in the wash - is that too PFB?

MollieO · 25/04/2009 23:47

I had a cream buggy and never had a problem. I guess it depends if the mum is one of those who pushes 4 yr olds around in a buggy. Ds was out of his by the time is was 2.4 (only started walking at 22 months or else it would have been earlier).

scottishmummy · 25/04/2009 23:56

unclench she wants a cream buggy.get over it

ChippingIn · 26/04/2009 08:11

CherryChoc - yeah, it's probably a little PFB, but I'd be right there with you.... it would make life much easier!!

With cream - I guess it also depends where you live. We live in the country (well, kind of, up country roads to village and the house) and the car gets filthy so getting the buggy in and out it tends to get quite dirty with that horrible mud/water/road muck stuff... so cream.... not a chance!

scottishmummy - not a clench in site - just a lot of
