do understand that some young teens find it difficult to adjust to having a adult body.
have two children that have been like that recently.

however, was visited by a teen girl who smelt. not just a unwashed BO type smell, but a fishy unwashed smell.
visably unwashed .
am concerned, obviously a power struggle with parent. But, worried that the smell may indicate that the child might not be changing her sanitary towels frequently?

This has been going on for some time, but this is the worst its been so far.

its unpleasent to say the least.

what do you think?

sorry didn't mean that to sound a bit short, it looks like i was reading it back.

i'd leave well alone if i was you. it's not really your place to say at all unless you have a very very close relationship.
i'd think you were over-stepping the mark personally.
if it's a power struggle or a phase it will pass.

Just wanted to ask whether the girl is from a close family who are likely to care about her and if your sure its a power struggle issue?

I worked at a school with kids who came from families where the parents couldnt care less whether their children went out washed or not. I expect this child could face bullying problems if she doesnt get help or advice on personal hygene. Maybe you could approach the school for help.

If however you know the family background and it is a power issue then I agree with others and you should leave it to the parents.
