RANT ALERT: Am I BU to want to shove Dogsh*t down the throats of

Useless, selfish, lazy, wanker's who think letting their filthy bloody dogs sh*t where ever they like and NOT clean it up is ok.

(Actually I would like to wish them a slow and painful death and their little dogs too.)Ok maybe thats unreasonable BUT>>>>

I have just had the fun of cleaning dogsh*t off of the wheels of my mothers wheel chair before putting it in the car. This wheel chair has to go in to my mothers house as she is dependent on it so had to be cleaned throughly and all poop removed from the grooves in the tyres.

While doing so someone else pulls up and lets dogs out of the car that proceed to make a massive pile of sht 4 feet from where I am scrubbing sht off of the wheelchair, and he leaves it there too

Wonder how he will like finding dogsh*t under all his car door handles

Thank goodness we had rubber gloves, a brush and cleaning spray in the boot, but if people are too poor to buy some sodding nappy bags or too bone idle to not scoop the poop maybe they are not fit to have a dog in the first place,

I shall now go and eat chocolate till I feel less like killing people...........

Rant over

Oh no that's disgusting. YAso definitely NBU. I have a dog if he poops I scoop. Those who don't shouldn't have a dog it's part and parcel and completely unacceptable not to clean up after them.

SadieSunshine · 13/04/2009 23:26

Our local newspaper had a letter complaining about people being soft and not being able to cope with dog crap on the street. I was

DS rode through shit when out on his trike.

I didn't notice, put trike in car, got in car, smelt the shite and realised I was covered from where I'd turned trike upside down to get it in boot.

This wasn't a light dusting either, this was serious down frontage, round cuffs, in carboot everywhere scenario.

I wept, then got angry.

I hate dogs. There I've said it!

I agree, I hate it when owners don't clean up after their dog(s). It is awful around here, we actually have a big dog field in the park next to my house that is enclosed for dogs to run off lead and has numerous red bins for the disposal of dogs waste. That way dog owners don't even have to carry it home.

We walk our two dogs there and we always have lots of bags even though both of our two have been trained to go in our garden before we go out. I just don't like to be caught short.

it is awful having to clean some other dogs stinking poop of the buggy wheels or off shoes and be constantly on the look out for it.

bunglecat77 · 04/03/2010 14:26

Drives me nuts too. I'm a dog owner, and I always clear up - even if it's under a hedge or when it comes out runny... urghhh. But some dog owners in our local park don't.

And because of them, the council might now ban dogs from being off the lead in the park. I don't have a car, and it's the only park within walking distance where my dog can go off the lead and get proper exercise fetching a ball. So if they were to be banned, I'd be completely stuffed.

The council keep on putting up notices asking people to scoop the poop. But the sort of people who don't pick up aren't going to take any notice of the notices...

So I always tell them off when I catch them at it!

saslou · 04/03/2010 14:42

Personally I think it should be illegal to let your dog poop anywhere except your own property. My mum has a dog and she has set aside part of her garden and trained the dog to poop there. The dog has been taught not to poo anywhere else. I don't have a dog and get really pissed off having to clear up after other peoples.
Think the door handle thing is classic. His own behaviour has come back to bite him in the arse!

I always pick up after my dog, unless im in the middle of the woods and he poos off the path, i figure that no one will step in that and yes it does wind me up.

Our local council is considering a blanket dog ban on the beach - that is so sad, lots of elderly people have dogs, the beach is the only place they can walk them and within reason, let them run free. The dogs are banned from most of the beach areas during the summer and have to stick to the promenade on leads and i totally agree with this as it is not good having dogs cavorting around people trying to sun bathe. But to ban them 100%? that would be ridiculous. There ARE other places to walk dogs locally, but not really within walking distance for me, and therefore lots of others and i don't think that is fair.

If people picked up their dogs shit this wouldnt be happening .

sasslou, whilst i sort of agree with you, i don't think that is workable, whilst you may well train your dog only to poo in the garden - i had one like that, there is always going to be times when they just need to go when they are out, for example if they had a tummy bug.

Its an age old problem and i don't think its going to go away, but i think its getting bloody worse, not better

BetsyLittleson · 04/03/2010 14:59

YANBU to be annoyed at the dog poo being left, I hate it myself and we always cleared up after our dog.

YABTU to smear dog dirt on the other dog owner's car door handles though, imo. Foul, disgusting thing to do.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 04/03/2010 15:00

YANBU- I have 2 dogs and walk with 2 small children and a pram. If I can pick it up, no reason nooe else can! we also have a run in the garden that the dogs use in the morning before their walk, but I always have bags, just in case.

Today I walked roud a park where there is a children's playground. I carried 2 bags of dog poo for 20 minutes to the nearest bin (next to the playground) and nearly stepped in a poop right at the bin!! That must be the height of laziness!!

swanandduck · 04/03/2010 15:06

Spent ages cleaning out my car yesterday because I didn't realise ds had walked in dog shit and I let him clamber over the front seat to get into the back so it was all over passenger seat and in front of his booster seat at the back. .

expatinscotland · 04/03/2010 15:16

'But to ban them 100%? that would be ridiculous.'

No, it's not.

That dog shit gets into the water when it's on a beach.

I think they should be banned full stop.

Their shit is vile and so are they.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 04/03/2010 15:26

It should be illegal to own a dog without a licence. Said licence should cost 2 million pounds. And owners who allow their dogs to defecate on the public footpath should be forced to lick the pavement clean

bernadetteoflourdes · 04/03/2010 15:28

Goodie a dog rant, I love these. You can borrow my ak47 and flamethrower when the op on the dog post from tuesday returns them. They worked on an annoying poodle in Earls Court once, though in your case I would use them on the owners. We have the same problem round here and twice I have caught the defecator red handed okish dog on lead led by nice girl about 13 yrs old I gave her a carrier bag to remove it and I did not shout at her she just went bright red. I aught her again last week and I said v.sunnily I would much prefer to say hello to her without a pile of pooh getting in the way. Why are the parents not instilling something here?
You could take your dcs around for a quick pooh on the offender's doorsteps my old mum always used that as her default threat. Its the same old same old irresponsible owners again and I don't get the owners who get really rattled if you ask their strange dogs to stop jumping up and trying to lick face of dc's in park, it has happened to me twice as they get really indignant as if you had called them a cucking funt or some such.

bernadetteoflourdes · 04/03/2010 15:34

Come on there must be some genuine irresponsible dog owners out there in the mnet ether coem and state the ase for the opposition it is not muh fun having all these lovely people agreeing with me.

Aargh Stealth I see the date too 2009. And I thought by bs detector was finely honed today. I feel I wasted my precious bile on that rant. Is it a troll or bona fide mnetter avin a larf?

67Impala · 04/03/2010 17:37

It's not the dogs fault Flibberty, it's the owners. Maybe you should shoot them instead.
I am a dog owner and I always pick up after mine. It doesn't take long and it shows respect for others in your community. I hate the fact that some lazy owners are giving us all a bad name.
