His bloody friend has taken to walking down the private road at the back of our home and letting himself in through the back garden gate!

I'm fuming he has now been sat in our garden with DP for half an hour and this is the 4th day in a row he has done it.

Yesterday I wasn't feeling too well and stayed in my PJ's all day. So when he turned up I had to go to my bedroom and stay there until he left.

I'm soooooo

I think you're gonna have to say something as your DP won't

There's nothing wrong with nicely and politely saying

"would you mind ringing first before you come round, just to check it's convenient"

Nothing wrong with that at all.

This is quite tame for a first AIBU thread. After my first AIBU thread, (about working mums ) I had to sew my head back on.

I'm going to go and get some more padlock keys cut so that I can add them to mine and DP's normal key chains and start padlocking the gate as we come in and out.

Will also ask for a phone call or text before he comes round if DP doesn't say anything.

On the plus side we are moving to a little market town to a bigger house in the next few months so any visit would have to be pre-arranged Thank-God.

nametaken I never actually expected to get any responces supporting the friend and my DP. I was a little shocked by what people think is acceptable.

Then I remembered this was an MN AIBU thread

Now, what you really need is an alarm system with big flashing lights and a booming robotic voice that says INTRUDER ALERT INTRUDER ALERT and a net that comes down and stops him in his tracks....

...although I can see possible issues with that when you come through yourself having forgotten to switch it off.

Hmm. Not such a good plan, perhaps.

JaquelinehydeAllTheEggs · 13/04/2009 16:28

Which I would do everytime I went out, then I would have to sit there and wait to be rescued by the bloody grinning friend

Ehm.. bleeding out of your bottom? that does not sound good. Have you been to the doctor?

JaquelinehydeAllTheEggs · 13/04/2009 19:39

I know not much fun mrsboogie. I sort out help from MN and will pop to the Dr's on Wednesday (my first free day) after their advice. I'm not too worried though after initial panic.
