Slight rant here:
DH, through no choice of his, has to work all day, I have no money, the kids have already had their fill of chocolate and are bored. They don't want to go outside and play and there's nothing decent on TV.
All my and the kids' friends are off doing 'family stuff' and I have no family close - we're living abroad.
I'm tired, hormonal and think I've got a cold coming on.
Can I please go back to bed until it's all over?????

Can you take them out somewhere 'free'. The park? The beach (not sure where you live?).

My DH went away yesterday and the kids friends are all away on holiday. However, yesterday in the garden they played with each other far better than they normally do with a whole group of friends.

Do you have any rice krispies? Turn some of that chocolate into a baking opportunity? I know what you mean though, easter sunday IME is always a bit of a nightmare!

Take them somewhere for a picnic? Take a ball and let them run about and burn off all that chocolate energy.

this year i havnt given my kids their eggs yet (they had a little gold bunny on good friday)
i have made up an easter egg hunt with clues to search around the house for(ds1 is still asleep and ds2 watching cbeebies still so not done hunt till later ), i realise you said you said they have had their fill of choc but make the hunt reward something like a dvd to watch or something? (they will probably moan they have seen it though! lol if they are mine)
how old are they?
can you get them to sit and make/colour easter hats or something? bit of paper taped round their heads or soemthng?

Get out the house whether they want to or not!
It'll help to blow the cobwebs away, yours and theirs.
IMO you need to plan something for Easter Sunday, mine never have any eggs beforehand and I do a really long egg hunt.
Give them each something to hide then get them to do a hunt for each other or get them to work together and do one for you.
Chin up

could you go to church?

ours is having a full on family service complete with "Who want to be a millionaire" style quiz, followed by egg rolling...newbies always made very welcome and I've got lots of spare eggs should anyone turn up without!

have come to the conclusion, it's not them, it's me - and probably linked to this
