On a similar vein to my previous thread aibu to give ds1 aged 3 a little helping hand with his eggs? This year we have bought him his very first egg (a carz one bought before I knew what the inlaws had bought) mil has according to dh bought TWO Thomas eggs and sil and bil have also bought eggs (each) as well and also dh's aunty and uncle. TOTAL MADNESS imho! So would anyone blame me if some of these eggs got lost or disapeared a little quicker than normal?

Goodness me it's your duty to eat them

Dd was given 3!!! by people she rarely sees today. I let her have half of one after tea, and am sat here scoffing the other half It's really ridiculous though. I know she has at least another 4 coming tomorrow (through the post!! Who posts easter eggs?!)

We have a policy of "sharing" in this house. Dd2 (almost 2) had a few chocolate buttons this evening and gave dh and I one each.

Sometimes the sharing is a little ^unequal" but also the dds get extra treats on occasion. (we let dd1 have first pick of our anniversary box of Hotel Chocolat truffle - she chose the cranberry truffle )

So with Easter eggs imo the same applies.

Definately eat them, it's not good for them to have too much chocolate. Says she who's already eaten two of her daughter's eggs already.

p.s. it is very cute when a little dc offers you one of their sweets.

Glad to hear I'm not alone in my thinking told dh what I was thinking and he thought I was being really mean!

My two will be getting 8 each from various relatives. Then both sets of grandparents are doing an easter egg hunt on top of that!

There is no way on earth they are having them all. I've already been given 2 of them which have been hidden away. I may just pass them on to other relatives lol

Tell your dh that if you don't fulfil this essential duty you are potentially setting dcs up for a life of obesity and rotten teeth. It would be like letting them eat lard and raw sugar imo to let them eat their way through a load of Easter eggs. You must help them.

Just read the threads out to dh and have informed him that its my (or our) duty as his parents to give him a helping hand!
