At another woman referring to DS as "hers"?

DS got his first tooth the other day so I updated my facebook status saying this. Okay I know that is a bit PFB, but most of the people on my facebook are family/friends who would be interested.

I got 2 comments, one saying "Did he bite you? Hehe" and another saying "Awwwwwwwwwwwww my little R.. has got a tooth, awwwwwwwwww!!"

Sorry, he's not yours, he's mine! I don't think I'd even mind as much but she's not even related to him, she's a friend and not even a particularly close friend.

AIBU to be a bit miffed that she referred to him as "my little "?

no problem.
Have you anyone who can babysit?
A few hours out with dh might do you the world of good.

yabu, especially for the drip feed tactic of the thread.
"aibu, another woman referring to ds as "her little x" "

cue responses of yes yabu

followed by
"even if she's trying to sleep with my husband?????"

CherryChoc · 07/04/2009 19:08

But I didn't want to know if it was unreasonable to be annoyed at a woman trying to sleep with my husband, I wanted to know if the comment was unreasonable to get annoyed about. I do find it a bit odd as I have never come across anyone saying "My little X" before unless it was their godson or nephew or something. So just wanted to check if it was meant in a nice way or not. I got my answer so I expanded with the explanation.

Daffo yes, we are working on that atm - got a handy babysitting circle set up with my NCT friends which is really handy! Just keep being too disorganised to arrange anything.

drip feed of aibu with stealth reveal

boring

Hulababy · 07/04/2009 19:11

Oh no - OP - this could be me!

I often refer to my godson as "my" .... you know the thing - "my little boy", "my little sweetie" etc. I don't mean he actually belongs to me, but it is just a term of endearment. I hope his mum doesn't mind!

Hulababy · 07/04/2009 19:12

Oh and just remembered - I refer to the children in the class I work in at school as "my children" Eeek!

Gillyan · 07/04/2009 19:17

YABU chill out

franch · 07/04/2009 19:18

YANBU but only because of the extra information. Dump her as a friend, and delete her from your facebook. You do not need a friend like that right now. Or anytime really.
