who forwarded me a chain type email this morning full of sentimental guff about showing our support for our armed forces and their families (going into great detail about children missing their serving parent), when she hasn't called or emailed me once in the 6months that my husband has been deployed.

I know that she will most likely think that I'd be interested (being a forces family) and in doing so she's showing support but I'd rather she showed support to me by calling once in a while to check that we are all safe, well or even alive !!!!

So, AIBU and a grumpy bitch from hell

YANBU!! I hate ALL chain letters and delete, delete, delete.

I have a FB friend who keeps sending me all manner of carp on there, but haven't spoken/seen in RL to her for over 20 years.

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 07/04/2009 12:14

No, YANBU at all. Email her back, thanking her for her concern for your well-being in as sarcastic a manner as possible - she might get the point.

YANBU - a friend from school who I am in vague contact with (on Facebook) emailed me, on my work email, an email about the Jamie Bulger killers being released.

Er. They were released years ago. I referred her to snopes.com which explained that the email was years old and had being doing the rounds.

What pissed me off was, like your friend, she hadn't emailed me for years but chose to forward a chain email to me??

Der, it was a close family member not a friend, think i was referring to Kayteee!

Even worse then!
