Lesson is, never give a landline number. Have a cheap pay as you go for any business stuff.

MrsMagooo · 06/04/2009 15:55

I think you were more then fair MLB why is she still chasing it!!

A Paypal claim would not have found in your Buyer's favour as the item clearly was as described.

Unless your a business registered ebayer, it wasn't neccessary to refund the buyer, unless you're just trying to avoid the inevitable Neg.

It's de-rigeur that buyers pay return postage costs too, state this in future listings.

Measurments are also useful when selling clothing, as size labelling isn't universal, might help avoid future wrangle.

Report her emails as Harrassment to ebay. They will email her back and slap her wrists. I hope you've already blocked her from bidding on future auctions of your's ('auction sabotage' - not nice!)

YANBU

This women is trying it on. If you listed it as a 14 and it's labelled as a 14 then it's not your fault that she is fatter than she thinks!

You only have to offer refunds if you are a business seller (as I am) and you are listing on buy it now. I don't do returns for non fit on my auction listings and I sell bras. I say that they are welcome to resell the items themself using my photo and description if they wish.

As a note for if this happens again, don't refund before you get the item back. There is no guaruntee that she will send it back, or that it will be the item that you sold her. I've had people return their old, obviously worn bras claiming that it was the one that I sent them

Well the jacket size thing apart - if I am honest I think YABU about the phone call !
Yes it was too early - but hanging up is incredibly rude and ignorant especially after a sarcastic "are you joking" - I find it the height of bad manners!
The only time I will hang up on someone is if they are being rude/abusive/aggresive (mainly my XH)..you could have politely sad "sorry it is far too early for a business call please phone back later" and then hung up...the stroy as you tell it is rude!

lou222 · 06/04/2009 20:38

not rude at all to hang up, if someone woke me and my baby up at that time i would be alot less polite than you were.
extremely rude to ring up at that time especially when you were communicating by email

macdoodle · 06/04/2009 21:14

Ah well I guess in my house 7:30 isnt early and extremely unlikely to wake anyone - I have early risers
