The chickens have been eating his little, baby, just sprouted plants.

So he has locked them away in their chicken house overnight.

They'll be awake at dawn, squawking and crowing and howling (chickenly) to be let out.

I let them be totally free range (more lie-ins that way

So, should he get up with them, even though he will only have had three hours sleep by then? Or should I because... well... because I'm quite nice?

I'm not actually being unreasonable, am I?

(shall I go and open the door now without telling him?)

Do you not have foxes?

fryalot · 04/04/2009 09:01

not a major problem here, minty.

I live right, slap bang in the middle of the countryside, and I reckon any self respecting fox would probably try for the pheasants or the wild chickens knocking about the village, and leave mine alone.

They do wander into the house overnight, but aren't locked in there, so they can get out when they wake up.

Anyway. I'm awake. I'm up and have been for some considerable time.

Despite me taking a hot cup of tea up to him and telling him it was time to get up (an hour ago) dp is still in bed.

Am not overly cross though as I wasn't woken up by squawking chooks.
