To think that neighbour shooting gun in back garden at targets & dog woofing for 20 mins is a bit much?

Ha ha, I think you just defined "redneck"..... are you sure they weren't my brothers

nickytwotimes · 01/04/2009 19:58

Claire, you must live near my neighbours too.

Is there a guy sitting on the front doorstep playing a banjo and chewing a strand of hay?

Claire2009 · 01/04/2009 19:58

LOL....

Well, I live in a city, have been in/out the back garden this afternoon doing washing & kids playing, neighbour comes out with his son (approx.10yo) and they have what looks like an air rifle with sights on, they set up the targets and shoot for an hour or so, not very loud but the silly dog woofing was not sure what I am more mad about the gun or the dog?

Look familiar?

nickytwotimes · 01/04/2009 20:04

Seriously though, it would drive you demented that would.

IheartNY · 01/04/2009 20:05

love the way you said dog woofing rather than dog barkng, dont know why but it tickled me

morningpaper · 01/04/2009 20:06

20 minutes errrmmmm no love

A few hours maybe

people are entitled to 20 minutes of chaos

smellen · 01/04/2009 20:07

No, YANBU. Our neighbours' mutt used to bark for hours on end. We couldn't open the windows in the evening during the summer because the b**y dog kept the kids awake.

Prior to that we lived in a town where the local cats used to sh*t indiscriminately on our lawn so that we couldn't let the baby crawl out in the garden.

Makes me really angry when people don't look after their pets properly and inflict their noise/excrement on innocent bystanders.

Rant over.

I don't think anyone is entitled to shoot a gun in their back garden are they? Seriously? Unless it's a get orf my land incident!!

Ronaldinhio · 01/04/2009 20:16

yeah they can shoot a gun in the back garden

Milliways · 01/04/2009 20:20

DH & DS have shot windfall apples off cans in our back garden (using air-rifle), BUT we have a huge shield behind target to catch stray pellets AND dog, cat locked away for the duration.

Agree that dogs barking endlessly are very annoying.

Kbear · 01/04/2009 20:23

I'm sure the police would be round if someone called and said someone was firing a gun in their back garden wouldn't they? Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner (join in if you know the words) that I think like this? LOL

Ronaldinhio · 01/04/2009 20:27

No, it's perfectly legal to shot an air rifle or airgun in your back garden
Best to have some sort of decent stop butt though
