Twas gorgeous!

I know that white sliced bread (Mothers Pride type stuff I mean) is a foodie sin but it makes lovely toast

In my defence it was all they had in our corner shop last night.

Yum yum.

Sometimes I just crave white bread and enjoy it so much more than brown. Loads of butter.

We had it for Saturday breakfast too.

thanks Poledra!! That was the best egg I've ever made!!

buttercreamfrosting · 30/03/2009 16:34

DWP - what do you have to do to a boiled egg to make it poncey?

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 30/03/2009 16:39

I LOVE white bread - I'd never give it up. DH keeps trying to get me to like wholemeal, but I still love the white stuff... Add a dippy egg and you've got the perfect combination......

Currently pregnant and supposedly can't have a dippy egg.... grr.....

Poledra · 30/03/2009 16:42

Glad to be of service, COTB.

On the subject of white bread, does anybody love french bread? I love it, but it's gone so quickly!

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 30/03/2009 17:00

I also love French Bread Dingbatgirl - especially when you're in France. Tesco do good French bread as I think they actually use French flour so it tastes more authentic. You have to eat it quickly though as it doesn't keep....

Damn, what a chore....

Dingbatgirl · 30/03/2009 17:25

Thanks Ineedmorechocolatenow I will trot off to Tesco. Looks like we're not holidaying in France this year, but at least I can have the bread! Do you also like crepes?

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 30/03/2009 17:29

Yup...... tho not the savoury galette (sp?) things..... just the sweet ones with sugar or Nutella..... mmmmmm...

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 30/03/2009 17:53

I'm worried for my safety

muffle · 30/03/2009 17:57

Mmmm yes - we have a breadmaker and make poncy lovely healthy wholemeal for breakfast etc. - but sometimes I just get a craving for shop-bought white bread. Best of all is with loads of butter, plus plastic cheese and branston pickle.

muffle · 30/03/2009 17:59

Or, white sliced bread with thick layer of peanut butter and bits of cadbury's dairy milk on top, toasted

Do you feel less guilty now?

CrackopentheBaileys · 30/03/2009 18:20

boiledeggandtoastsoldiers, I do wish you would stop repeating on me

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 30/03/2009 18:46
