CAKE OR NO CAKE

KimiWantsAnEasterEgg · 29/03/2009 16:04

Popped to Tesco this morning and as I left I ask DP "do you want anything"? No said he.
He is sitting trying to fix my sisters lap top that has a wacking 27 Trojans on it and has just ask, "did you get me any cookies"?

"Um no you said you did not want any" says I

Sad look, "oh" "but you always get me cookies"

"Bake you a cake shall I " says I all sarcastic like .....

5 minuets pass then a little voice says "so are you baking me a cake"?

Now should I leave my sofa and my MN and go make a chocolate cake I can not have any of as it is lent or not...

Ladies first 10 yes or no answers decide...

Dp would like me to point out that the lovely new laptop I am sat MN on is a gift he got me last week for no reason at all.

Over to you

Simnelbellavita · 29/03/2009 16:49

It is a Mary Berry recipe and is foolproof..

10oz softened marg
13oz caster sugar
4 eggs
3oz cocoa powder
4oz self-raising flour
4oz chocolate chips

180c/350f/gas 4

40-45 mins until brownies have a crusty top

traybake tin or roasting tin 30 x 23 x 4cm (12x9x1.5 in)

Simnelbellavita · 29/03/2009 16:51

oh and cover the brownies loosely with foil for the last 10 mins if mixture is browning too quickly

FairLadyRantALot · 29/03/2009 16:53

Some of you might remember the marshmallow thread?
DP wanted marshmallow for his hot chocolate and as we had none he made a whole tray of it.

Tesco being shut means nothing in this house, if we don't have it we make it

KimiWantsAnEasterEgg · 29/03/2009 18:52

He is 6 feet 4, gray eyes, slim very smart, director of a company almost 30 (toyboy) and likes cake.

Shall I get him to bring marshmallow with him?

OP posts:
Nabster · 29/03/2009 18:54

Just wondering how I explain him to DH....

Not fussed about marshmallow but he can bring it if he wants too.

Going now to get ready..

KimiWantsAnEasterEgg · 29/03/2009 18:56

Tell DH he is there to fix your laptop

OP posts:
Nabster · 29/03/2009 19:13

Good one but he could do that.

I told him a DHL'd to me and he didn't seem concerned.

abbierhodes · 29/03/2009 19:24

You can have cake even though it is lent as it is Sunday. I'm catholic. Google it, I'm right.

cakedecorator · 23/06/2009 14:19

DT says
if you have new computer - print a picture of a cake, and put an IOU on the bottom for tomorrow - and bake it later!
