just got to say terms like newbie et al are rank.ye gods why would one discriminate?

we are all posters - end of

no such distinctions necessary

hit the post message knock yourself out.don't wet your drawers worrying about newbie/mouldie fripperies

fleurlechaunte · 29/03/2009 09:29

I prefer MN now. Have been on in various guises for 2 years. It feels fresher now and you don't have to look around to see who posted before you have an opinion. No "buddies" swarming in from other threads to give you any crap when you disagree with one of them.

I do have a favourite whose posts always make me laugh and are always sound but I am not saying in case she gets big headed.

frazzledgirl · 29/03/2009 09:42

What fleur said.

Never understood the reverence for posters who turned up to a thread, were v rude to the OP cos they'd seen it all before/thread didn't meet their exacting standards and were congratulated for it by the rest of their Mean Girls clique.

I far prefer MN now. I recognise a lot of regular names and have a lot of respect for them.

daftpunk · 29/03/2009 09:47

lol @ the op being drunk but sober enough to name change

FigmentOfYourImagination · 29/03/2009 09:52

Ladyoftheflowers is still here. She is just LadyofWaffle now and has been for aaaaaaages.

LadyTophamHatt defected and I do miss her, not seen her around since the debacle which cannot be named.

Cod still hangs around here under numerous different monikers.

I see much less of Gobbldigook and her Mum these days, I don't know whether they defected or just got on with RL.

TBH, I'm not enormously bothered on the whole. I quite like the new equilibrium on the site. I miss a few of the old faces but I'm easily ditracted by the new ones

I do wonder what happened to Kelly with the twin boys, but she left a long time before the moldie fall out.

StealthPolarBear · 29/03/2009 10:27

oooh ScottishMummy you are absolutely my favouritest MNer in the world ever

Lulumama · 29/03/2009 11:04

ladyoftheflowers is not ladyofwaffle

LIZS · 29/03/2009 11:07

I was quite cheered to see some familiar older names pop up here last week.

Earlybird · 29/03/2009 12:41

I'm an old-timer who has been away for 2 months due to real life. But, I'm not high-profile or 'connected' enough to be missed. Still, I'm glad that life has calmed down so I can relax and come on here for a natter.

FigmentOfYourImagination · 29/03/2009 17:28

oh, sorry lulu

KimiWantsAnEasterEgg · 29/03/2009 17:44

Where is Welsh Boris?

electra · 29/03/2009 21:02

I think that the Mners who originally left probably still post but under a different name. I am not surprised cod is still here because I have seen a few threads and thought that must be cod. If this is the case then I am pleased because it doesn't matter what the user name is - the same things are being posted.

I like mumsnet these days - to me the essence hasn't changed at all and it's still the only parenting forum with great quality conversation

IorekByrnison · 29/03/2009 21:13

If cod is still here how come there is no mad typing? Has she acquired a secretary?

LadyOfWaffle · 29/03/2009 21:16

I am not ladyoftheflowers - sorry

Where are : liquidclocks, smileyspeople (again ) & kelly1978 (?) ?

southeasterastra · 29/03/2009 21:16
