Didn't want this to go unanswered - when they visited they looked at the whole house (asked DS to show them round) and yes I did spend the entire morning cleaning Good luck they are usually very nice.

I've had 'experience of two CAFCASS workers and neither asked to see the childs room (or anywhere else in the house for that matter).

CAFCASS are just lovely IME, we had literally just moved house ( 3 days before our visit).. she didn't ask to look about.. but the dc's ran about and showed her their new house anyway

just be you, normal natural you..

MrsGJB · 03/04/2009 00:16

...just be aware that sometimes they can play 'devil's advocate' and may say some things to gauge your reaction. . . I agree with BCNS - be yourself and natural.

Normally we would only visit the property if the court directed us to do so or if there are concerns about the property’s suitability

@Philhall

Can you fuck off with commenting on all these ten year old threads?

What we look for is whether the house is overcrowded, whether the child has a a bedroom or shares a bedroom. Whether the bedroom in question has all of the things that one would normally expect, a bed, storage space, clean bedding etc. We would even check to see if there is a lights bulb. We also look at whether this is a shred house or house in multiple occupation and whether there are age appropriate toys and games. The most basic assumption is that the house is fit for human habitation. If you have horsing tendencies that can be problematic because then the house would not be. A safe environment

@Philhall this thread is so old the child in question is likely now an adult. Your spam is not needed.
