to expect a bit of love and understanding?

Just been blasted by DP whose delicate sensitivities have been displaced by my asking a simple question in a certain tone. Context: I attended a family funeral today having only burried my own dear Dad less than a month ago.

So, am I?

You are not being unreasonable to expect a bit of love and understanding in the least.

Sorry you are having a bad day

No you are not hun...sorry for your loss my DH loss his father in January sometimes people no matter who they are can be insensitive

NancysGarden · 25/03/2009 21:45

Thankyou, thankyou. Sometimes you just need that little bit of acknowledgement that although the world is spinning and people are still working, eating and farting someone very special has been plucked from this world too soon and yes I do need some allowances occassionally.

Of course you deserve some love and understanding. Unfortunately this may be what is winding your DP up.

Funerals are so draining, even when they are not of close relatives. When they are family funerals and you have so recently lost your dad, they are shattering.

How about an early night?

Good idea, just need to eat something first (I know it's late, just been in a bit of a fog since I got home!)
