to blame pregnancy for seeing red!!

I lost my temper and work today. I saw red, raised my voice and was rude. I really felt sooooo angry and it was something that would normaly annoy me but an over the top reaction.
This is so not like me, I can be firm but not irate. Is this pregnancy or is this me. If so I am concerned about who I am?

It's pregnancy with me. Saturday saw me screeching at DP in the street.

I was also very cynical in a team meeting on Monday, I would normally just bitch behind closed doors.

Hi,

How pregnant are you?

I have to say, I was very irritable when in early pg with my DS1. I also once lost my temper at work, and was much more sensitive to other people being rude to me.

I know some people are cynical about this, and PMT, but I would liken how I was to PMT doubled.

It's yer hormones love

Its prob the pregnancy - I always found that I would get just as irate but not be able to control the switch to stop myself saying exactly what I was thinking...it made for an interesting work life!

Just 4 and a half weeks so very early!!!

I am like this all the way through pregnancy , I have no paitence and everyone should realize what I am thinking without me saying a word. In short I am either crying or snarling when pg

Tis the hormones though.

Joycey Congratulations!

Wait 'til you start crying over adverts

screamingabdab · 24/03/2009 20:18

have you told anyone yet? (apart from us, obv.)

Joycey29 · 24/03/2009 20:20

NO - that's the problem I can't explain the reason behind my behaviour! Bugger!!

I thought so .... They'll probably guess if you are a woman of a certain age (by which I mean, childbearing age, not Middle Age)

Joycey29 · 24/03/2009 20:29

I hope not - the boss is not happy and I need him in the right frame of mind before I speak!

If it's any consolation, I was crabby as hell for the first three months (a combination of the mad hormone rush and 24 hour nausea, I think).

But since then, I have totally, totally chilled out. I have really got that beatific pregnant woman thing going on. It constantly surprises me, as I am quite a stressy control freak by nature and now I just waft about thinking, hmmmm, no, not my problem, bigger things to think about...

Is marvellous. Long may it continue.

screamingabdab · 24/03/2009 20:37

True in most cases Verity, the middle bit is mellow

Simplysally · 24/03/2009 20:37

I certainly 'lost it' a couple of times during my pg but be careful later on as it can make your bp rocket. I ended up after one stupid row, almost gasping for breath . My Dad bawled me out for endangering my baby .
