...to expect people to search for what they want first rather than asking others to do it for them?

I find this in real life and on MN, that people will often ask others to help them find something when it's patently obvious that they haven't bothered trying to find it on their own.

E.g. on MN, it's 'can you help me find out about this nasty disease' (for example) and then someone will google it for them, then post a link to netdoctor with all the info they need. If they were on MN in the first place, surely they have heard of google?

I sound grumpy, don't I?
