To be freaking out that my ILR Visa has not come through yet???

Hi there...

I sent in my application for my ILR Visa 7 weeks ago. It can take anywhere from 5 weeks to 14 weeks to decide...

They sent me a letter in the beginning of Feb. saying they got my applictaion and basically not to contact them...but to just wait. And, there is no way to look up the progress.

The longer it takes the more I am convinced it will get denied. There is no reason for it to get denied. My husband is British...my DD was born here and I am expecting our second DD in a few weeks. We don't make a lot of money but we don't get any benifits (one thing we have to prove is we can live without claiming).

I cannot sleep, I cry...everytime the mail comes I have a panic attack thinking 'is this the day my life will be ruined'.

It is not healthy but I am freaking out...

Anyone gone through this? How do I continue to wait without having a heart attack?

Ah I see. Well maybe it would be worth a call just to ask about the 2 months he was away, just in case.

Honestly, we did not have a lot either as we were living with my FIL for ages while we saved for a house so most was in his name and not ours. The we moved the month before I had to apply so we did not have any of our bills in by then either.

We sent in everything we could think of. Do you have the card from when he registered with a GP? That has his name and address. How about mobile phone bills? Ours came in my DH's name, but my name was on another page by my number so I highlighed that and added a note to the front page.

I would just go thru everything you have and you will probably be suprised. Also, I wrote a long 3 page letter explaining everything and about the move and why we didn't have X, Y and Z.

You probably don't have anything to worry about but I know how you feel. I was so sick with worry, but you wil get there! Good luck!

We have tax credits letters, car insurance, council tax bills, electricity bill, tenancy agreements and our son's birth certificate, all with both our names on, and lots of bits separatel with dates, to cover a full 18 months - but the first 6 months will need a cover letter to explain what happened I think. I DID have a council tax bill in our names from nov 07 but I can't find it [grr]
I'm sure it will be fine, but it's very scary.

In that case you will totally be fine! We also had our daughter and I was expecting our second when I applied so send any info about your son too.

No need to worry!!!
