first bit of sun and all the shirts come off and the loud gits are drinking beer outside the school. (these are parents btw).

i think they should ban drinking right outside. agree?

Outside the school in their own garden or at the school gates?

shinyshoes · 20/03/2009 15:24

We see them often, tops off and cans of beer in hand (outside school gates)

LadyOfWaffle · 20/03/2009 15:25

I don't think they could. But YANBU

MitchyInge · 20/03/2009 15:26

it can be illegal to drink outside in public, I live in an alcohol-free zone - plenty of places have these rules

cocolepew · 20/03/2009 15:28

Why do men insist on taking their shirts off? Do they look in the mirror and see Brad Pitt rather than Rab C?

ilovetochat · 20/03/2009 15:30

in the summer our lovely quiet park turns into a horrible rowdy place, its not the kids, its the dads who turn up with no tops on, fag in 1 hand, beer in the other and play loud music lazing on the grass while their kids run riot, drives me mad. i find it quite intimidating actually.

friday32 · 20/03/2009 15:32

i thought it was illegal in whole country it should be for no other reason than who wants to see puny white chests in public could scar dd/ds for life!!!(grin)

OrmIrian · 20/03/2009 15:33

Yuck. No U at all!

FatFree · 20/03/2009 15:59

lol cocolepew

Gotta love a bit of sun for the muffin topped hipsters with copious amounts of bright pink thong showing. Oh joy!

Oh and i must admit to having such a muffin, but it is kept securely hidden away

HerBeatitudeLittleBella · 20/03/2009 16:16

And smoking
And dogs
And swearing
And dog shit
And wankers who think it's OK to park on the zig zags, because they are too busy and important to follow the same rules as everyone else.

Gosh I'm in a bad mood this afternoon

tattifer · 20/03/2009 16:26

Ooh Ooh this is my speciality - MitchyInge is right, in some areas onstreet alcohol consumption is banned. Even where it isn't a friendly chat to a hopefully useful neighbourhood policing team could see words of friendly but effective advice being issued...

You are definitely not being unreasonable - what sort of example does it set the kids?!?

nametaken · 20/03/2009 17:32

did they also have tatoos and rottweillers?

I'm amazed they're allowed to drink in public. It's banned round here, I thought it was banned everywhere.

southeastastra · 20/03/2009 17:39

there was a bull terrier tied up at the gates. i was very dissaproving.

these blokes were young too, don't they have jobs , know the answer there.

Mmh, lest this turn into judging the people rather than their behaviour - you could always try and outnumber them and gather your friends around with a cool bottle of chardonnay or pinot grigio and borrow someone's lhasa apso

tattifer · 20/03/2009 17:47

Besides, I thought neapolitan mastifs were the new rottweillers?

lol! The shirts-off-in-March brigade. Gotta love 'em!

tattifer · 20/03/2009 18:05

Personally I don't mind people with their shirts off - male or female - just make sure they've exfoliated and moisturised sufficiently to make the skin shine

notsoteenagemum · 20/03/2009 18:06

I'm quite impressed by them daring to 'cast a clought(sp)'

Seriously though why at the school gates were they Dads?

southeastastra · 20/03/2009 18:49

yes were dads. or maybe just blokes who like to hang around school gates

southeastra yuk, what a thought!

Having said that I have had cause to have a discreet word to a couple of gents hanging around outside the local school. Made sure they weren't actually in breach of any conditions before giving simple advice that maybe it just didn't look good and some of the mums were getting a bit anxious...
