there are some right little sods at my ds(7yr old) school who go to the park to play football on the way home. Despite the fact they have been pretty nasty to him in the past, including hitting him, he still wants to play with them, and comes away either like a mini liam gallagher or in floods of tears. ive tried talking about it, but he still wants to go. Now i think the boys mums know how i feel. should i keep going and find somewhere else to play or let him go to the park he really likes and put up with this??

Please find something else to do with your son, if he keeps getting upset by these children it will effect him a lot.

find something else. Those boys don't suond like friends to me.

I'd give it/ them a wide berth if they are being mean to him. It will only make him upset or try to conform to their behaviour which sounds pants. Can you invite a nicer kid from school round to play instead?

thanks

there is another park if i go a different way. was just a bit fed up of having to avoid the best park in town because of someone elses kids. it feels like im being bullied into it if that makes sense, rather than standing up to them??

If they hurt your son though, what does their mother do? Doesn't she challenge it? If so, maybe there's a way through it all.

hate to say it but mums are just as bad. standing around smoking, gossiping, letting their dogs off leads and generally winding up the boys.

oh dear i think i've answered my own question. its not worth all the grief is it? now just got to explain it to ds....

the mothers are just as bad. one of their dogs once shook mud all over my ds2 pushchair and they all fell about laughing.

i agree with what you say. its so sad older children would be so unkind to little ones.
