and that at 72 my mum shouldn't be running for a bus.

My mum fell over running for a bus this morning. Sounds like she landed on her face and injured her lip and knee.

This lovely man picked her up and took her home in his car, no idea who he was but my thanks go out to him.

Most people are lovely most of the time.

I hate all this "moral decline" rubbish.

And your just story goes to prove it

There are indeed lovely people out there. My friend had an RTA with her DS in the vehicle when he was only 3 months old - the couple in the car behind turned out to be a paediatric nurse on her way to work, with her DH driving. The nurse insisted on checking over the baby - who was absolutely fine - and the nurse's DH then insisted on driving my friend and the baby over to mine. All I remember is opening the door to a strange man, who said, "I think your friend needs a cup of hot, sweet tea" and then vanished. I've never known who they were, but I'll never forget their kindness, either.

I dropped my switch card in Tesco today and it was handed in. Not everyone would have bothered. I don't know who did it, but if you're reading this, I'm very grateful

A local teen dragged a blind man out of our local river when the bus stopped at a different place to normal recently (the bus-stop proper has a fence to stop you reaching the water. The man knew it was 4 steps to the fence - the bus stopped at the end of the railing so the man fell into the river (when it was snowing) )

He thanked the boy in the local paper because he didn't know who he was, but that he was local ... it was nice to read a good story for a change

I agree most people are decent. I offered a woman I didn't know a lift, she was heaviy pregnant and clearly going to faint...a kindness instinct just kicked in...I was quite shocked as I am usually selfish and self obssessed!

I think that about 90% of people are kind and decent., just some of them are scared to make a stand sometimes, or they think someone else will help
