not AIBU as such, more I think I was U to think that teens now would be different to us, and am shocked they are not.

my DD1 is complaining tonight about her apparently lesbian PE teachers.

I ask why she thinks they are lesbian.

She replied it was because they always walk in and check on them while they are changing for PE/back into uniform.

I remember complaining about the exact same thing when I was an ignorant teen too (altho we complained about them watching us in the shower!).

seems girls really don;t change.

shame really as I thought that teens would be more enlightened than we were back then, but , they are not.

do boys say the same things tho about their games teachers I wonder?????

Just to be clear, our PE teacher did have a moustache.
She may or may not have been a lesbian.
The two are in no way linked (except in the minds of silly children)

BrokenFlipFlop · 16/03/2009 22:12

We all thought our PE teacher was a lesbian. She would sit and watch us all shower and change. In hind sight I think she just wanted to chat and be friendly but we were all young and ignorant and took offence!

She was nick named 'Lemon' by some of the girls and it got so bad that she actually took time off work! We all got hauled in to a class room and got a good talking to by our RE teacher (she must've drawn the short straw as I dont think its actually possible for a grey cardigan wearing sandelled up RE teacher to be assertive and give talkings too!).

Shame on us all anyway

LesbianMummy1 · 16/03/2009 22:13

they so are, had mum at dd's school last year that thought as a cm I must sit the children down and teach them lesbianism luckily the children I cm for had really cool parents one asked me very loudly in front of the other mum when I was going to make her 3 boys lesbians sounds funny now but was really stressfull at time

for some sick reason I even got questioned by ofsted recently as a parent claimed I did not tell her about my partner bearing in mind she had known me four years I know she was causing problems cause she owed me money, but I was made to feel like a paedophile when surely I am entitled to a private life.

NotAnOtter · 16/03/2009 22:27

one in ten girls in the shower will be a 'lesbian'

re the lesbian teacher being 'barred' from the change room - i bet she loved being judged because of her sexual preferences

honeybehappy · 16/03/2009 22:30

omg lesbianmummy1 that is fucking awful.

honeybehappy · 16/03/2009 22:31

coldtits was she a paedophile then?

LesbianMummy1 · 16/03/2009 22:32

don't think they should be able to but woman was determined to put me out of business I would have put complaint in but unfortunately the people you complain to ofsted about are ofsted so pointless

LesbianMummy1 · 16/03/2009 22:36

can I also add that not everyone is that bad in over 5 years of cm I only had one person who would not use me for my sexual preference but I figured I would not want to work with parents like that anyway

psychomum5 · 16/03/2009 22:38

no worries on the hijack.

admittedly is is not going quite the way I meant it (I was more thinking it jokingly that teens really haven;t changed as much as I thought they had since I was one), but only really becuase it simply has never occered to me that people could still be so ignorant about peoples sexual preferences in todays society.

makes me feel quite sad actually. surely it should be more 'live and let live' now-a-days when there is so much bad stuff out there. love is something that should be clelebrated.

well, obviously I do not include the twisted love of paedophiles, but that is not something that is anyway related to what I am talking about anyway.

as for coldtits post. I was thinking that she was feeling as uncomfortable as they would have had it been a male PE teacher. I was not thinking that they were alluding to their teacher as being perverted, just that they felt uncomfortable. they were teens after all, and teens are not exactly well know for their common sense in situations like that!

No she wasn't a paedophile, and neither are most men, but at the age of fifteen you don't want them looking at your DDcup tits! And until we complained, she did. She watched us shower. It wasn't because she was a lesbian, it was because she was letchy.

Incidentally, the other PE teacher we also thought was gay but she NEVER letched. We didn't demand HER removal from the changing rooms (and we turned out to be right about her, she died recently , and her life partner who comment in her obit was female) and we all liked her. She WASN'T letchy
