I told my dad today that I'm pregnant (my mum already knew, but she was the only one) and he said congratulations and gave me a hug, but then he said 'well at least you'll hopefully have learnt from the mistakes you made last time round' FGS! why do they always have to spoil it! I didn't ask what mistakes they might have been, as I'd have got really angry, but my mum did helpfully chip in with some stuff about how me and dh sometimes ended up falling asleep on ds's bedroom floor as he didn't settle very well on his own for ages. It's pretty common, and you do what you have to do at the time. As it happens DS (2.5) is a lovely, happy, well-behaved, bright little boy, so we can't have done too badly. It just makes me mad though. They're always the same, they can't help themselves, they just have to spoil what should be a happy moment. Am I being oversensitive?
