How bizarre!

HecatesTwopenceworth · 13/03/2009 21:18

you forgot the [[

here you go

PetitFilou1 · 13/03/2009 21:19

That would ensure I never bought anything from that company - extremely strange

shonaspurtle · 13/03/2009 21:21

Why are you feeling worse and confused though? (sorry if there has been stuff on another thread I don't know about). Why would you pay any attention to health "advice" from a children's furniture website?

sw1 · 13/03/2009 21:21

Thanks Hecates!
Its mad they can add these sorts of things.......even if they may be right.......too late me my DS he has had all of his now..........

How peculiar! I suppose, if they make the furniture, the maker can claim some understanding of working with MDF (not that I would be keen to advertise that on a childrens furniture site). As for the rest of it, almost verges on disturbing IMO!

AlistairSim · 13/03/2009 21:28

Yep, that furniture with faces is the stuff of nightmares. Would freak me out but then I already see the faces of meerkats in our carpet.

chegirl · 13/03/2009 21:56

I agree with Alistair the furniture is scary enough without the health 'advice'. That bloke at the bottom looks well smug too.

I think I will stick to Ikea if I want wonky looking kid's wardrobes. I didnt see the prices but I bet they are even more alarming than the furniture.

elkiedee · 13/03/2009 22:00

The prices are terrifying! We need some furniture for DS1's room but wouldn't choose that stuff or pay those prices.

ScottishMummy · 13/03/2009 22:10

what are you worried and confused about?the scary graphics and horrid furniture

me too

sw1 · 13/03/2009 22:10

elkiedee if you thought that was bad you won't belive this mwf.com/childrens/cinderella1.html

£25,000 for a bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
sw1 · 13/03/2009 22:12

Scottish, it did worry me........some of the comments refering to ADD etc 30 years ago make me think. God i'm sick of being thrown all this information! How is anymore meant to make sensible informed choices about their child?!

OP posts:
ScottishMummy · 13/03/2009 22:14

get your health advice from a medical practitioner not a furniture retailer

nickytwotimes · 13/03/2009 22:16

Spot on, ScottishMummy.
Absolutely ridiculous to have that kind of stuff on a furniture website.

sw1 · 13/03/2009 22:16

See that would seem the best thing to do but my GP had singles for her children not the MMR! There just seems to be no control over the amount of stuff you can read!

OP posts:
ScottishMummy · 13/03/2009 22:23

the internet is full of misinformation, and guff,go see your GP face to face consultation

imo,patient.co.uk is a good resource

BUT nothing can allay fears like 1:1 with GP

RedTartanLass · 13/03/2009 22:24

Oh my word that is the furniture we have in our LO's bedroom. I have never seen it anywhere else. We got it off eBay about 3 years ago. In fact I started a thread on it!

see here

When we moved the removal man said in 20 years he had never seen furniture like it!

ScottishMummy · 13/03/2009 22:26

did you get a wee bargain then?

dilemma456 · 13/03/2009 22:27

elkiedee · 13/03/2009 22:28

£25,620 and that doesn't include fabric linings, delivery etc etc. Nearly half my outstanding mortgage at the moment.

Anglepoise · 13/03/2009 22:32

£25,000 for a bed made me go momentarily light-headed.

beanieb · 13/03/2009 22:32

has anyone scrolled down?

treedelivery · 13/03/2009 22:32

Crazy bonkers bizarre. Thats just the prices. Very Twilight zone.

Alambil · 13/03/2009 22:32

is this company the supplier for the Lazytown set? They look remarkably similar!

RedTartanLass · 13/03/2009 22:34

More than a wee bargain got it dead cheap. Well I say dead cheap think it was £400, but it will last unitl ds3 is in his teens. That was for bed, brand new mattress, wardrobe, bookcase AND chest of drawers. The mattress had a receivet for £550!! DH went to London to collect it, he said it was like a fotballers mansion

DD's cot bed is exactly the same wood! I think it looks brill, and it's always soooooooo much better when you've got a wee bargain!

Can you see how much they are? They don't seem to sell thm in the UK site.
