AIBU to consider complaining?(Rather long)

Has anyone else had any experiences like this?

I developed crushing pains in my ribs and back yesterday, I've had it a few times before but it became so intense yesterday that I ended up in A%E.

After some tests, but no blood test the dr told me there's a chance that it could be a blood clot, but it's most likely that it's asthma, I've had a cough for a few months now.

He sent me home with no pain relief, steroids, inhaler and didn't do a blood test.

This morning I had what appears to be an asthma attack and was struggling to breathe, I went to a different hospital where they were shocked that a blood test hadn't been done to rule out a clot.

They were much nicer and did more tests, put me on a nebuliser and kept me in throughout the afternoon, before sending me home with some pain relief and a peak flow monitor to monitor my peak flow for a week.

Would complaining about the first dr be a bit extreme? I feel I shouldn't have been sent home in the same condition I went to hospital in, particuarly without ruling out a blood clot.

Definitely complain. You were not given the correct treatment.

Perhaps I will. I never complain, I don't like to get anyone into trouble or to cause a fuss, but I couldn't sleep last night because I was convinced I wouldn't wake up again.

Actually I'm still a little worried about being sent home today with no steroids/inhaler to relieve the symptoms if I struggle to breathe again.

I think a letter is in order after all.

And today I had a nurse who kept telling me that the blood test I needed would cost the NHS money. I've paid a lot of tax, and she's complaining I'm costing them money. Isn't that what the NHS is for?

Also when I was sent there by my dr today, she said what does he expect us to do, before anyone had looked at me?

I'd best make that 2 complaint letters.
