Did he get back in time? My guess is he turned up at 1.29 and wanted to know why you were pissy a bit annoyed with him...

LucyEllensmummy · 03/03/2009 20:05

yep, thats pretty much it chippingin - he did the same thing on sunday when we were taking DD to a party. Turned up with minutes to spare, but can't understand why i get stressed. Being late is my pet peeve. I really need to learn to drive.

I am sure im not the only one with a partner like this. Its not like he does it on purpose, but he just doesn't feel time pass i swear it. Today for instance, he had to have tyres fitted on the van - then he decided to just "pop" to a place to get some glass frosting. He suffers from verbal diarroeah so he is never just five minutes. But when he couldnt get what he needed from the first shop, he just "popped" somewhere else!!

He has no perception of how frustrating it is for me. I can't just pop anywhere, partly because i dont drive, but because i am the one who has to consider DD all the time.

But he is gorgeous sexy, so i'll let him off!

You are not alone.

I taken to telling DH that we need to be where ever 30mins earlier then we need to be.

It doesn't help that I hate being late for anything. I like being at least 5mins early and he is always 10mins late.

morethanyoubargainfor · 03/03/2009 21:12

yep we are the same, i have to tell my DH an hour earlier, and more often than not we are still late.

His main problem is he faffs! he goes to do one thing but ends up doing 50 others and forgetting what the first thing was
when he does the school run i have to get up to help him, what i want to know is wwho helps me, and 2 days a week i have work to get to once i have dropped Ds off, he doesn't as he can only do the school run if he isn't working! DS is always late on those days, and i do the packed lunch, and give breakfast and dress DS, feed the animals, and all Dh idoes is have his breakfast and get washed and dressed himself, you got to love them tho'

LucyEllensmummy · 03/03/2009 21:51

I used to do this, tell him earlier times, but he got wise .
