what an arse. Poor you x

Happy Birthday though.

When the DCs are in bed, I would remind him how utterly thoughtless and pathetic he has shown himself to be today. And tell him he has 364 days to plan some thing truely monumental for next year...

Annoyed? I'd be bloody livid. Mind you, I would've been telling my DP it was nearly my birthday for weeks in advance and telling him what present I wanted.

Happy Birthday

My dh forgot one year. When he remembered I got a 'surprise' late present - it was a farking optical mouse for my laptop I really wished he hadn't remembered at all!

SerendipitousHarlot · 03/03/2009 19:22

Oh that's shit

There's no way I wouldn't be getting ready to go out somewhere tonight. Anywhere, even round your mates house, all dressed up. That'll piss him off

abbierhodes · 03/03/2009 22:42

If my DH did this he certainly wouldn't be sleeping in my bed tonight! Completely inexcusable IMO!!

YANBU - but I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks that the Sunday Lunch was ample celebration - job done.

I am so lucky that my DH's birthday is two days after mine. so the discussions go - what are we doing for our birthdays this year? What would you like? I have some ideas for what I would like. etc etc.

My problem is that our wedding anniversary is then 10 days later and mothers' day about 2 weeks after that - by which time he has totally run out of inspiration and thinks that I don't necessarily have to receive anything - since I went out a couple of years ago and bought a very expensive handbag for myself for mothers' day - he has been much better!

I always organise the sitter for all outings anyway - so I don't sit at home feeling miserable that he hasn't organised something.
